MISSION OF THE RECRUITMENT-MILITARY LEGAL ADVICE CORPS
The goals of the Corps are:
a. To obtain the necessary information for the preparation of the military service, the commitment and the monitoring of the fulfillment of military obligations by all Greeks with such obligations.
b. To ensure the necessary for the Armed Forces human resources through the recruitment of Greek citizens and the institution of Professional Soldiers (supervisors).
c. To provide the Armed Forces with legal advice, opinions, studies and legal support in general.
SHORT HISTORY OF THE RECRUITMENT-MILITARY LEGAL ADVICE CORPS
The Enlistment Corps was founded in 1914, by Law 357/1914, as part of the Corps of Land Armed Forces called "Enlistment Corps". In 1968 the Corps was renamed to Recruitment Corps. The first Military Law was developed in 1825, in the midst of the Revolution of 1821 and the first thirteen Enlistment Offices of the Country were fomred by up to 1880.
Its organization until 1988 was part of the wider framework of the organizational structure of the Land Armed Forces Army. In general, at the post-war era, organization of the Land Armed Forces there was the General Administration at General Administration Headquarters (GAH) and several other Enlistment Administrations in formations to which belonged the Enlistment Offices of the Land Armed Forces.
In 1988 the Enlistment Offices became common for all three Branches of the Armed Forces (Land Forces, Navy, Air Force) and in 1989 it was moved under a common (interdisciplinary) Corps of the Armed Forces.
In 2008 the full computerization of the Enlistment Services was completed along with the creation of a fully computerized file of all the male population of the country.
In 2010 the Enlistment Corps became ENLISTMENT-MILITARY LEGAL ADVICE CORPS (N.3883 / 10) and offices of Military Legal Advisors were created at the MOD Defence - GES - Navy - Air Force and all Formations Army Corps level (and respective other MIGs).
In 2011, the administrative reorganization of the Corps took place, with the merge of The 57 Military Recruiting Offices and the 6 Enlistment Administrations merged into 18 Recruitment Services and 4 Recruitment Administration Services respectively. Which are located in cities that are the seats of the Regions, according to the n.3852 / 2010 (Project 'KALLIKRATIS ").

KEY CHRONOLOGIES FOR THE LEGISLATION CORPS
- 1825: Compiled Law "Enlistment Inventory ", which imported partial compulsory recruitment in rebel country.
- 1851: Compiled Law "About Recruitment", which finally regulated that relevant force until then. Specifically, each time, the required number of conscripts was distributed to state counties according to their population.
- 1878: With PSIST Act Universal Conscription was introduced.
- 1880: The first thirteen Recruitment Agencies (Law OLI 'of April 29, 1880 "On the active Army" organization).
- 1910: The Independent Enlistment Directorate at the Ministry of Military (GES) was established.
- 1914: The Enlistment Corps was founded.
- 1937-1940:The Officers School for Military Services operated (SASY).
- 1970 The military school of Officers Corps was established.
- 1975 The first two lieutenants graduate from the Recruitment Corps.
- 1989 The Enlistment Corps of the Land Forces Army was moved under a common Armed Forces Corps command. Law. 1848/89
- 2001 The Enlistment School of Defence was formed along with six (6) Enlistment Administrations which replaced the ten(10) previously existing Enlistment Regional Administrations. Also a new distinctive embelm was introduced for the uniforms of the Enlistment Corps.
- 2007 The implementation of digitization of the Recruitment Data and the computerization of all the Enlistment Services began.
- 2008 The full computerization of the Enlistment Services was completed along with the creation of a fully computerized file of all the male population of the country.
- 2009 The Enlistment Processing Centre was founded.
- 2010 The Enlistment Corps was transformed to Enlistment Military Legal Advisors Corps (N.3883 / 10).
- 2011 The 57 Military Recruiting Offices and the 6 Enlistment Administrations merged into 18 Recruitment Services and 4 Recruitment Administration Services respectively.
